40 Hope Street

Liverpool's restaurant scene has blossomed over recent years and new venues are opening all the time. The revolution almost certainly began at 60 Hope Street. Four times Best Merseyside Restaurant of the Year, this haven for European cuisine offers modern dining at a very reasonable price, though you are advised to book early.

The other jewel in the crown is the London Carridge Works created by Paul Askew, the city's most decorated chef and is Merseyside's Restaurant of the Year 2006. Whatever your taste and budget, the choice is huge.
